THEREAS by an Ordinance (No.29 of 1809) dat@294 the 27th day of November 1899, enacted by the
RECE 531 Governor of Hong Kong by and with the advice ind30 UC 19 consent of the Legislative Council thereof to amend the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Ordinance it is provided that, with the consent of the Commissioners for the time being for executing the office of Lord High Treasurer (such consent being signified in writing under the hands of the said Commissioners or any two of Them) the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation may establish Branch Banke or Agencies for Exchange, Deposit and Remittance at any place out of the Colony in conformity with the law of such place; and "hereas by Proclamation issued in the Hong Kong, Government Gazette of the 25th January 1890, the said Ordinance was brought into operation; and 'Thereas the said Corporation has applied for the consent of the said Commissioners to the establishment of certain Branches and Agencies of the Corporation,
NOW THEREFORE, Te, being two of the Commissioners for the time being for executing the Cffice of Lord High Treasurer, do hereby signify the
assent of the said Commissioners to the establishment
by the said Corporation of Branches or Agencies from time to time as the same may be required at the placeS hereunder mentioned in conformity with the law of such places respectively: viz:- any place in
