The Lords Commissfonere de His Majesty's Treasury
have received from the Home Office an application for the award to r.1.J. Pierpoint, who is stated to have retired from the post of Chief Warder in the Hong Kong Prisons Service on the 12th December last, of pension in respect of his previous service in the Home Prisons Service.
I am to request that the Secretary of State will cause Their Lordships to be informed on what ground this officer was retired from the Colonial service, what amount of pension was awarded to him by the Colony and on what salary such pension was based and whether it dates from toe 12th or 13th December last inclusive, and what would have been the total amount of his pension, hadthe whole of his service had been in the Hong Kong Prisons Service.
