If you are prepared to accept the appointment on these comitions, you should take an early opportunity of presenting yourself to one of the Ledical Advisers whose names are given on the enclosed letter, for the purpose of being medically examined, and he will send his report direct to this Lepartment. The fee will be paid by the brown Agents for the colonies, and if it should be necessary for you to travel by rail for the purpose of the examination, your 3rd class return lere will be refunded to you on your informin, this Depart- ment of the amount.

If finally selected for the appointment, you will be provided with a free passage to hongtong, lat class by other than a mail steamer, subject to an unatr= Laking; to repay its cost in the event of your leaving the service of the Goverment within four years from the date of your arrival in the colony for any other reason than mentel of physical infirmity.
