Ac will be granted only if the Governor is antisfied
you have, by your good comquet, deserved it. If
t previously terminated, the appointment will cease at
he end of the said four years, unless it be expressly
timed.
If it is continued you will be placed on
r pensiomble establishment of the colony and your or will be mined to 2.150 a year on your completing
wen years' service dating from your arrival in

3. You will be provided with free furnished irters and attendance in a building attached to the vil Hospital. You will be subject to the orders of le Principal and other Fedical Officers of the Hedical
artcent and of the latron of that Hospital; ami ao to such rules as the Governsent may from time to
prescribe. Uniform, laundry, fuel and light, will rovided. You may be employed in any of the
pitels of the Colony and you will be liable to be
le upon to undertake private nursing if occasion aires.

4. It will be necessary for you to express your
Jeptance of the conditions stated in this letter
for your selection can be completed. In other respecta
w will he subject to the colonial Regulations in force
the time being and to the General Orders issued from to time by the Government of jongkong. A copy of latest edition of the colonial Regulations is enclosed. @ppointment is under the Coldnial Government and your luments will be paid solely from the funds of the Colony.
