REC (REG: 20 FEB 19
I have received several letters with reference
to the Hong Kong appointment but in no case has the writer the required qualification in Food and Drug analysis.
1
I enclose herewith an application from Mr L. Singleton who perhaps most nearly fulfils the conditions because his experience In connection with oils and fats covers one portion of the subject
of the chemistry of food, He also holds a London Honours B.Sc.
and is an Associate of the Institute of Chemistry though not in branch E. Mr Singlet on however, does not state when he could be set free from military service if appointed and I have asked him for information or this subject.
I am afraid that the terms of the appointment are not sufficiently attractive to produce competition among men fully qualified for the position. Perhaps, however, by this time
you have come to some decision with regard to r Stutterd with
hom you have been in communication,
Yours very truly,
James J. Dothe
