I have Gne nonour to inform Your Excellency that an
enquiry has been received from Captain W. Murray Scott who has recently retired from the Artillery Company of the Hongkong
Defence Corps, as to whether Army Order No.123 of the 28th
March 1919, extends to officers of the Defence Corps the
privilege of retaining the Honorary Ranks held by them during
the war.
Your Excellency is aware of the services rendered by
these officers and especially of the services of the Artillery
and Engineer Companies wno nave, throughout the whole of the
period of hostilities, een doing regular garrison duties, and
I shall be glad if you will be so good as to inform me whether
the Hongkong Defence Corps is affected of this Order.
