Sir,

I have the honour to transmit the accompanying despeton No.2341/191y dated 12th July, 1919, from His Excellency

the Officer Administering the Government, Hong Kong, and recommend that Army Order 123 of 19ly should apply generally to Officers or the Hong Kong Defence Corps which was &

Volunteer and Volunteer Reserve Corps prior to the passing or

the Hong Kong Ordinance No.19 of bist August 1917 which made

service compulsory for the duration or the War and six

months' after. The whole Corps has given valuable service in

Garrison auties during the War.
