#ith reference to your letter of 30th June (34015/15)
transmitting a copy of a despatch from the Officer
administering the Government of Hong Kong, I am directed
by the Board of Trade to state that the suggestion by
that Officer that a clause should be inserted in the
Compenden Ordinance 1911 to enable the Hong Kong
Bovernment to prevent the formation of obviously
unacceptable companies has bem considered, and I am to-
state for the information of Viscount Milner that the
question of a company being formed for an unlawful
purpose has very seldom arisen in this country.
