That I was born on the 31st day of March 1877 at Bagdad
in Turkey-in-Asis and resided there with my parents until I was
16 years of age when I left Bagdad for Bombay in the Empire of
India where I went to school at Bishops High School, Poona, in
India, until the year 1895.
4. That in the month of February 1898 I joined in India
the Mercantile Firm of Messrs. David Sassoon and Company Limited
as a clerk and remained with that Firm in India until the month
of April 1898 when I was sent by that Firm to Hongkong as
clerk in their said employment and that I lived in Hongkong
and continued in such employment from the said month of April
1898 down to the year 1915 when I left Hongkong for Shanghai
as aforesaid.
5. That my residence in Hongkong was continuous excepting
for a few periods of time hereinafter particularly stated when
I was away from Hongkong on short business or pleasure visits
to Shanghai, Singapore, Japan, the United States of America
and England.

6. I left Hongkong in the month of May 1906 for San Francisce
in the United States of America and arrived in San Francisco
about six weeks later to that date and stayed there for about
4 months and I returned to Hongkong in October of the same year
being absent from the said Colony for about 6 months.
