Sir:-

I am directed by Earl Curzon of Kedleston to

transmit to you herewith copy of a letter from the British

American Tobacco Company Limited with regard to the payment

of fees by China Companies under the Hongkong Companies

Ordinance 1915.

The question raised in this letter appears to be one that primarily concerns the Colonial office and I am there-

fore to request that Lord Milner will be good enough to communicate with the Company on the subject. A reply in

this sense has been addressed to the Company.

I am,

Sir,

Your most obedient

humble Servant,

Wiznen

L: Wiia : 20

e Under Secretary of State,

Colonial Office.
