I trensmit to you for your information |
a copy of a letter from the Colonial
Office respecting the proposed repeal of
the Hong Kong "Macao Extradition Ordinance
1881 in the circumstances set forth in
the accompanying despatch from the
Governor of Hong Kong.
2. In accordance with the wish
expressed in paragraph 2 of the Colonial
Office letter, you should enquire as to
the views of the Portuguese Government
on the point raised therein, and report
to me in due course.
3. It will be gathered from the
Governor's despatch that the Ordinance
in question was enacted eleven years
previous to the existence of the
Extradition Treaty between the United
Kingdom
