After four weeks in single confinement in the military

prison in Hơn kang, we were notified that we would be sent

to the German intemment comp in Liverpool, ustralia (New

faler, noar cydney). A four weeks Journey on the steamer

St. Albane brought us there.

hon boarding this stemer, I saw my three trunks and

Trunk No. 4 but did not see what was in it.

After landing in sydney, we were told that the luggage

would follow at once, hotover, it did not.

After sending about ix petition to the Amaricarı

Donaul in sydney, Ir. Britton, the luggage arrived in an

unspeakable condition. Very lock as broken, everything of

my value removed, Ay box No. 4 was simply empty, all

logatives, lenses etc., simply gone. Complaints to the

Colmel of the comp ware simply answered with the statement

hat everything had been delivered what had arrived. On

account of further complaints to the American Conmul in

broken and promised enquiries.

I wrote to the French Consul. in Sydney, asking to

cend somebody to the camp to see me, I received a reurn
