V.C..2. Reed. 14th July,
Gentlemen,
I beg to bring to your notice my present case and would ask if you would give the circumstances your kind consideration as a special favour.
In 1905 I joined the Hong Kong Police Force and worked in thi pervice until 112. Then on the recommendation of the C.S.P.I was transferred to the Revenue Department under Superintendent R.O.Hutchinson and during the whole of that time I understand I gave full satisfaction, on 2nd July, 1916 there was a small complaint against me with the result that I had a consultation with
to Lo my Superintendent who advised me to the South China Command to find out if I was fit for Active Service and if so he promised me a pension or
gratuity provided I returned to England and joined the Army for Service at home or abroad. I joined un the 1st King Edwards Horse from 1916-1919 and the end of which time I received an Exemplary discharge .However during that time 1916-1919 I have no communication whatever regarding my pension or gratuity which I am entitled to. I would therefore hes to ask of you if you would kindly give the matter your kind consideration for the purpose of pro- curing the pension or bonus in questi n for my services. I would mention that I am in a position to furnish all the necessary proofe in question. Thanking you in advance for anything you may do to: mě.
