With reference to your letter No. 360 of the
27th June, 1919, I am directed to forward a copy of a letter
which has been addressed to the Government of Macao regarding
the alleged shipment of opium in the S.S."Amherst". The return supplied by the Superintendent of Opium at Macao showed a shipment of 153,600 taels of opium.
No reply has as yet been received from
Macao and a further letter is being sent.
