With reference to my Despatch No. 217 of
S/372. the 7th July, 1919, I have the honour to inform Your Lordship
that the property of the Deutsch Asiatische Bank at Shameen
has been widely advertised for sale to British subjects but
that no satisfactory offer has been received.
2.
The Custodian in China of Enemy Property
has now received authority from Sir John Jordun to offer the
property for sale to foreigners.
3.
When a sole has been affected Your Lord-
-ship will be notified.
