Council discussed the question of a grant of pension to Inspect- or Sim on his retirement, and decided that in addressing the
Secretary of State for the Colonies on the subject, a note should be made to the effect that the majority of Council was in favour of a reduction of 25% on the full pension, though
in the opinion of more than one member, the pension should
properly be reduced by 50%. Council were agreed that the
pension should in any event be reckoned on the old system.
