remaining the same, and that the 5 cent piece should be re- -placed by a nickel coin.

4.

Should Your Lordship approve these pro-

-posals I should be glad if a new coinage Order-in-Council could be passed to give effect to them. The Crown Agents should then be instructed to have minted and sent out at the

earliest possible date 20 cent pieces to the value of $200,000 and 10 cent pieces to the value of $500,000. A new die will be required for the nickel 5 cent piece, and it would be well if designs for this coin were sent here for approval in the first instance. The opportunity might also be taken to have new dies made for the 10 and 20 cent pieces with the head of His Majesty the King.

I have the honour to be,

My Lord,

Your Lordship's most obedient,

humble servant,

Officer Administering the Government.
