Hon. Colonial Secretary,
I beg to forward the attached report on a
disturbance which took place on the night of the 3rd instant and
in the course of which an American Marine narrowly escaped being
dromed. Had it not been for the timely assistance rendered to him
by A.L.S. a22 E.J.Field, the man would undoubtedly bave been
drowed. As a result of his immersion Sergeant Field has since
been suffering from influenza and is only now getting fit again.
Sergeant Field's connuct is I think deserving of recognition.
