We have received from you copies of telegrams to and from Hong Kong about the grant of a War Bonus, with a memorandum saying that they are "transmitted by direction of the Secretary of State for the Colonies".
The telegrams indicate that a War Bonus is being paid in Hong Kong.
It is assumed that these
have been sent to us
in order that we may know what is being done in Hong Kong and that should it be desired that ve should make any payments to officials who are in England, instructions to do so will be sent to us.
