With reference to your despatch No.3730/1919

of May 21st., I have the honour to inform you that the

French Consul General in reply to my inquiries states that

he knows nothing either of Dr. August Gaston or of Mr.

August Bach; though it is possible that a verbal request

was made to his Office with regard to such a person joining

the French Army, there is nothing on the subject in his

archives.
