I have examined the accompanying Ordinance intituled
An Ordinance to authorise the British Traders Insurance Company
Limited to convert its silver capital into gold,
and 1 am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the
Governor's Instructions.
2.
The object of this ordinanoe is to enable the British Traders Insurance Company Limited to convert its silver capital into gold
by a special resolution to that effect to be passed by the shareholders. The directors consider this desirable because the great bulk of the Company's business is carried out in countries where a gold currency prevails.
