No. 169 of the 2nd. August, 1918, concerning the liquidation of the Deutsch-Asiatische Bank, I have the honour to forward
a copy of a letter from the Custodian in China of Enemy Property concerning the mortgage on the Shame en premises of Messrs. Reuter Brockelmann and Company and to state that Solicitors in Shanghai have been instructed as is requested in
that letter.

Following the procedure adopted by the Board of Trade, as outlined in paragraph 2 of Mr. Bonar Law's Circular Despatch of 11th. October, 1916, certain small share holdings which are chiefly held for clients of the Bank have not been sold.
