(Eucle)
20th, August, 191 8,

Yourself and Bowley.
we wrote to Mr.Bowley yesterday after a consultation
with Mr.Soarp and Mr.Potter and informed him that unless
the imputations were unqualifiedly with drawn proceedings
would be instituted, We added that we understood he maintained
that there were no imputations in the letter and there would
be no objection to the withdrawal recomising this.
We to-day received from him the enclosed letter with
ite enclosure sent to us without prejudice.
we have seen both Mr.Sharp and Mr.Potter thereon.
They are of opinion that if the enclosure to Mr.Bowley's
letter as altered in red type is published in the news- Papers concerned and if such newspapers concur in the
withdrawal of the imputations and will pay the costa
of the actions, you will be we advised to accept this
in settlement of the matter.
We su all be glad to have your instructions.
Yours faithfully,
sd/ De acon,Looker, De acon & Harston.
