and to whom the Empire has to look for its citizens of the future. We are hoping to collect £50,000 by the end of June by which time success should synchronise approximately with the conclusion of the Peace Conference, and we are anxious to make participation in the effort representative of all the Empire.
I should therefore keenly like to see Hongkong represented among the original founders of whom Queen Alexandra and the Duke of Connaught are at the head, since each has consented to establish and name one of the Reception Rooms, which will bear the titles of "Queen Alexandra's Drawing Room" and "The Duke of Connaught's Drawing Room",
We of course gladly welcome any support, but I might add that for £500 we can set aside a bedroom to be named as the donor or donors desire, and for £5,000 a Drawing Room, It would indeed be very gratifying to feel that when the building is opened every part of the Empire would be thus directly represented in this great educational scheme in a fashion which will appeal to our citizens of to-day, and which will be remembered by all in time to come.
May I add that the work is one which meets with the goodwill of every Government Department, and I am glad to be able to say that Mrs. Lloyd George is an active helper.
