I have your letter of the 25th May about Mr.Fitzgibbon who is Chief Clerk in the Colonial Secretary's Office, Hong Kong.

A Commission was appointed to enquire into the' pay of the members of the Public Service of Hong Kong and its report is now under the consideration of the Secretary' of State. The salary of Hr.Fitzgibbon's post will be considered as a part of the general revision of emoly contemplated by this report.
