(b). Premium at the rate of 10 cents per square foot
to be paid into the Colonial Treasury within 7 days of the date of a letter signed by the Director of Public Works notifying that the said area is at the disposal of the Company. (c). Crown rent at the rate of $375.00 per acre
per annum to commence from date of the letter
mentioned in (b).
(a). No building covenmt, (the area is insignifi-
-cant).
(e). The area to be reclaimed from the sea and to
be properly protected in such manner as the Director of Public Works may approve; the
work to be completed within 24 months of the
date of the letter mentioned in (b).
(f). The lessees of the lot to pay to the Land
Officer, on demand, the sum of £30.00 for the
Crown lease,
(g). The exact boundaries of the lot to be determin-
-ed before the issue of the Crown lease and
premium and Crow rent to be then adjusted in
accordance with the area and rates mentioned
in (b) and (c).
(h). In the event of the Company desiring any
boundary stones to be fixed, the cost of some to be defrayed by the said Company, the amount certified by the Director of Public Works as due for the fixing of such boundary stones being paid into the Colonial Treasury
on demand.

These proposals were referred by Messrs. Butterfield and Swire to their principals in London, with the result that the scheme has undergone some modification. The present proposals are shown red and hatched red on the
