In reply to your letter of the 10th.
October, I am directed to inform you that the reference to
a 99 years lease is not understood; that there is no
reason why the matter should not be settled now as it is
not affected in any way by the existing state of war; and
that His Excellency the Governor has nothing to add to the
views expressed in my letter of the 7th. February.
I am to add that the lease plans are
ready in the Land Office and the new lease embracing all
the lots covered by the hospital should now be taken up
without delay.
