Thus is to certify that Mr. W. Look Wei was a graduate

student in the Electrical Engineering Department at Massachusetts

Institute of Technology from February, 1917, to May, 1918.

taking the course with me and also thesis work during that time.

I found Mr. Wei a good student in this course of study. He did

not complete his thesis work before leaving the Institute to

enter war work in France.

I am informed, and believe, that Mr. W. Look Wel is a son

of the Hon. Mr. Wei Yuk, C. M. G., for twenty five years a member

of the Legislative Council in Hong Kong. I have also seen cer-

tificates that he is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong

with a degree of B.Sc. and a holder of the King Edward VII

scholarship in that institution.

Mr. Wei has a remarkable command of the English language,

has a charming personality and has had a good electrical engin-

eering training.

Respectfully Submitted,

A. E. Kannelly.

Director, Acting Head Electrical

Engineering Department.
