I have the honour to forward herewith
a plan showing areas, in red, red cross-hatched in purple,
and green applied for by the Hong Kong and Whampoa Dook
Company, Limited. Practically the whole of the areas
applied for consist of very hilly ground, the levelling of
which will entail heavy expenditure. The following terms
have been offered to and accepted by the Dock Company:-
PATEBION TO HUNGĦOM INLAND LOTS 24 AND 256.
(a). The lessees to surrender the existing Crown Leases
of H.H.I.Ls. 24 and 256 when required by the Land
Officer.
(b). The lessees to be granted a new Crown Lease to
include K.H.I.La. 24 and 256 and the area coloured
green on plan which contains about 64,000 square
feet.
(a). Term of new lease 75 years renewable for a further
term of 75 years, commencing from 8th. July, 1884
(date of lease of H.H.I.L. 256).
(d). The lessees to pay into the Colonial Treasury within
14 days from the date of a letter from the Director
of Public Works stating that the area is at their
disposal
