In reely to your letter, dated 27th inst., Ref. 0 2387,
the amount loaned to the Syndicate, after registration in
December, 1916, by prominent merchants in Mincing Lane was
27,850.0.0., with an undertaking to advance a further 10/-
in respect of every £l when required.
A few participants advanced 21 in full, and their
interests renresent
£1.350.0.0.
Members have now spreed to accept shares of £1 each
in satisfaction of the debt.
An amount of 4000 £1 shares will be allotted to the
Vendors as fully paid, in consideration of their having made
over to the Syndicate options and rights, together with full
study and the result of preparatory work aocomolished over a
number of years. These shares will be issued to -

We agaid beg to emphasise most strongly that the
extreme urgency in the interests of this country for the issue
of oanital up to a total of £100,000 is fully recognised by
reputable business merchants in London, and that if the
Government is, anxious to forward British trade interests in the
directions already indicated, the present moment is most vital.
