In reply to your letter dated 22nd November,
C. 23827 "Capital Issues", we beg to say that our Company is a private one, but it is contemplated to transform into a public Company when circumstances permit.
The proceeds of the proposed issue for casa
will be very largely allocated towards the purchase in
this country of the following:-
Manchester goods and general necessaries.
Up-to-date machinery for a flour-milling factory.
Refrigerating plant.
Machinery in connection with rubber plantations.
Zino smelting machinery.
Road-making material.
Saw mille.
Material for harbour works, etc.
It is impossible at the present moment to detail
the amounts to be applied to the various purchases, thoug
they will naturally be considerable, and reports to hand
from our General manager in the Colony snow very clearly
that, given the necessary facilities, this fresh field
for British trade and enterprise will become quickly and increasingly important.
The money to be expended abroad will be
entirely in connection with the salaries of staff and
labour, and constitutes only a very small proportion of the funds required.
