The writer lamented that no answer had been received to the telegram communicating this order, as Ffister had further orders in view. On the 15th April(the letter continued) tole- graphic instructions were given not to ship to Barcelona but to the Societe Suisse de Surveillance Marseilles, Pfister had instructed the S.S.S. to give the Swiss Consulate at Marseilles instructions as to shipment of 10400 kilo grocs to the order of 7.E. 1809 N of 20.5.16.) of Freixas (1,e. Germann & Co.)
This letter suggests that Germann & Co. Hamburg, were not to be the ultimate recipients of the hemp but that they were ordering the goods on behalf of Pfister's firm, But that firm appears to be merely a continuation of the business of Rich. Pottstock for whose benefit the trans- action probably accrued,
