We have to acknowledge and thank you for your letter of 6th inst., and in reply thereto, beg to enclose herewith copy of shareholders list received from our Head Office Shanghai, dated 13th December 1917, and which has not, of course, since been changed in regard to the Enemy shareholders.

You will see from this list that your surmise in paragraph

3 of your letter, is correct, and in regard to paragraph 4 the writer finds that the certificate covering the remaining four shares registered in the name of Heinrich Amsinck Westphal, is in our safe here. Will you kindly let us know if we should forward this to you, or whether we should eend it direct to Shanghai, with other Scrip we hold fot British Shareholders,
