With reference to your letter (No.13600/18) of the 6th April enclosing a copy of a despatoh from the Governor of Hong Kong regard- ing the sale of the trade marks registered in the joint names of Messrs. W. & C. Dunlop and Messrs. Meyerink & Company, I am directed by the Board of Trade to state that they conour in Mr. Long's proposal to approve the suggestions made in paragraph 3 of Sir H. May's despatch.
I am to suggest that the price to be charged for the goodwill and trade marks should be based upon a valuation to be made by a local appraiser to be appointed by the Governor.
