F. ROSENSTERN & COMPANY.
REG 7 MAR 18
I act as Supervisor of the affairs of this firm and I have received a letter as per enclosed copy fra Hamburgische Sudsee Aktiengesellschaft, Rabaul, dated 27th November, 1917.
The goods in question were purchased by F.Rosenstern and Company through a Calcutta House and transferred by the: to Hong Kong for shipment to Sydney prior to the outbreak of War in 1914. The goods have apparently Jain in Hong Kong since that time and the firm whom I represent have not been paid for the goods. I therefore propose subject to the approval of your Department to write Messrs. Gibb Livingston and Company of Hong Kong intimating that I am willing to release the goods referred to by then on payment of the price viz: £167.0.5 and this amount when received by me will be divided amongst the British Creditors of F. Fosenstern and Company as and when I am in a position to authorise a further dividend.
I shall be glad to hear from you by return.
I am,
Sir,
Your obedient Servant,
(Sgd.) ROBERT C. THOMSON, Supervisor.
