The Daily Bulletin.

We now issue a paper called the Daily Bulletin to sub� acribers, Mr. Coleman, to whom I wrote last week will be able to shew you copies of this paper. We have now 150 subscribers at 20 dollars each a month. We have now arranged for our tranleation bureau, and on the 1st of November shall issue this news in Chinese to the Chinese press. All the papers in Hong Kong, six in number have agreed to our terms. The Canton press has sent messengers to ask when we shall be ready to supply them. difficulty in getting at least 20 of the Canton papers to come in on There will be little the same terms. The terms are that we supply them with a telegraphic service translated into Chinese and ready for publication, free of all cost, and in return they give us space for articles written by us dealing with the War. Dr. Darroch, in Shanghai is now 'ranslating Mr. Coleman's articles and these will be published in the space given to us in return for our free telegraphic service,
We have engaged as translator & man who was at one time connected with the "Seventy Two Guilds Newspaper", the leading ver- nacular paper in Canton. He is in touch with the Canton press and understands not only translation but also newspaper work.

I may mention that at my request M. Picard Destelan, the Co- Director General of Chinese Poste has granted us the privelege of posting every thing connected with Allied Propaganda unstamped provid- ed that it is posted in the Hong Kong Post Office. have been able to relieve Shanghai of a considerable bill for postage.

Mr. S.V. Tao has just written an account of the War for translation into Chinese, This is a most excellent work and the Com- mittee is about to publish it in both English and Chinese, supply you with copies when the book is issued.
