BRITISH E3

TOYKO..

June 25th 1918,

436

As you were good enough to communicate to me the correspondence with the Colonial o ffice which

formed the inclosures to your Despatch 10:117 (73915/10F/1918) of the 4th ultimo, I venture to think that the inclosed copy of some private notes supplied to me by the Comercial Attache to His Majest y} Embassy on the question ofCompanies registered in Hong Kong, may not be altogether without interest, althought he naturally confines himself to the aspect of the pro-

blem presented to residents in Japan.

I am sending copies of this despatch to the Governor of Hong Kong and His Majesty's Miniøser at P

Peking.

I have the honour to be,

with the highest respect,

sir..

your most obedient,,

humble servant,

(signed) H. Norman..

The Right Honble:

A.J.BALFOUR 0.M. M.P.

etc. etc.. etc.
