I have the honour to enclose a copy of the
Attorney-General's report on the Fire and Marine
Insurance Companies Ordinance, 1917, and three
copies of the Ordinance itself, and I would
direct your attention to paragraphs 9 and 10
of the report. Should the British authorities
in China approve of the legislation suggest ed
it might perhaps be effected in the amending
Order in Council which is at present under
consideration.
