With reference to your letter No. 38733/1917 of the 13th August last transmitting a copy of a telegraphic corres- pondence that had taken place between your Department and the Governor of Hong Kong regarding the issue of separation ellowances

obtaining to the families of married police officers

commissione, I have the honour to enquire whether 15 19 intended that the separation allowance to be issued in such cases is to be the amount that was previously contributed by the Government, i.e. exclusive of the man's allotment.
