Sir,
I am directed by Mr. Secretary Long to request
you to inform Mr. Secretary Montagu that he has received
from the Officer Administering the Government of Hong
Kong a telegram asking that Lieutenant C.G. Perdue,
Indian Army Reserve of Officers, may be released from
his military duties at an early date.
2. Mr. Perdue holds the appointment of Police
Probationer in the Colony, and Mr. Long would be obliged
if ir. Montagu could see is way to comply with the
wishes of the Officer Administering the Government of
Hong Kong.
