With refermoe to your Despatch No. 160 of
the 25th. July, I have the honour to forward the enclosed copy of a letter received from His Majesty's Consul-General.
at Yunnanfu on the subject of the scholarships for Yunnan
students at the Hongkong University.
It may prove advisable to consider the question
of increasing the grant from the Colonial revenues at a later
date; after the University have had practical experience of
the quality of the Yunnan candidates.
