With reference to your despatch No.
f the 3rd of last March I have the honour inform you that Mr.C. Stewart, who proved hsatisfactory officer, resigned with ct from the 20th ultimo and that upon recommendation of the Chief Resident neer and subject to your approval, I jose to appoint Mr.C.Lambert to be motive Superintendent on the Railway Staff
effect from that date at a salary of rising to £450 by £30 triennially.
2. Mr.Lambert joined the Railway Staff temporary footing on the 30th November and was in independent charge of matives until Mr.Stewart's arrival on the of last April. After that Mr.Lambert kept on as Assistant Locomotive Super. Indent at a salary of $3000 per annum. He had 10 months' trial and has proved rely satisfactory.
