It will be seen from the Recapitulation
on page 20 of the Abstract of Differences that the net
increase in Personal Emoluments due to new posts after
deducting the decrease on account of posts abolished, is
827,319, while there is a net decrease in Personal

Emoluments from all causes, approximately £34,000, due largely to the fact that the dollar has been reckoned at
3/ instead of 2/- which was the value fixed for the
Estimates
