5.
The rate of exchange for sterling
expenditure has on the advice of the Treasurer after consulta, -tion with the Chief Manager of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation been fixed at 3/-.
6.
I have to call your attention
particularly to the 2nd. footnote on page 3 of the Estimates,
which shows clearly the reason for the disappearance of
*Exchange Compensation".
7.
The additions to the establishment are

2 4th. Grade Clerks in place of 2 3rd. Grade Clerks, and
4 Probationers at 8360 each on the Temporary Establish-
