With reference to Mr. Bonar Law's Des-

-patch No. 261 of the 6th, of October, 1915, I have the honour to report the steps taken in this Colony to imitate the action in British Guiana for the reduction of infantile mortality.

In December, 1915, I appointed a representative Committee under the Chairmanship of the Princi- -pal Civil Medical Officer to examine the question of what can be done in Hongkong on the lines of the Baby Saving League of British Guiana. The following gentlemen kindly consented to
