I attach a statement and vouchers shewing the amount

total is $4,774.53. But there will have to be some small adjustment because we have paid Noronha $1,764.00 for
publishing the book of War Stories and some copies have been
sold by Noronha and some also by Kelly and Walah but the
amounts have not yet been brought to account.
The large cheque paid to Mr. Braga is for capital expenditure
on our Reuter scheme. We had to purchase a small printing
press and other necessary articles. I can supply a detailed
list if required.
In addition to the sum expended by Mr. Ede, there are two
small sume due to Mr. Leefe and to Mr. Perry respectively.
I enclose an account shewing how these expenses were incur-
red. They were on account of Cinema in Hong Kong. The
total amount due to private individuals for disbursements
on account of propaganda are therefore as follows:
Kr. Ede.
Mr. Leefe,
Mr. Perry.

There will be no further expenditure on account of Cinema
because all costs of Cinema in South China are under our
agreement with Shanghai to be borne by the Shanghai Commit-
tee.
These Cinema films are sent out by the Foreign Office
and the most elaborate returns have to be made. This is
done by Mr. Philips on skeleton returns sent in by us.
amounts mentioned above as due to Menara. Leefe and Perry
are on account of Cinema in Hong Kong, I do not think that
this should be charged to Shanghai. I quite agree with His
