(2.) If any company or other corporation fails to comply with any of the provisions of this Ordinance, the company or other corporation shall be liable upon summary conviction to a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars, and in addition to a further fine not exceeding five hundred dollare for every day during which the <default continues, and every director, manager, secretary or officer of the company or other corporation who is knowingly a party to the default shall on the like con- viction be liable to the like fine, and to imprisonment for any term not exceeding six months.

1.
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance intituled
An Ordinance to require certain returne to be made to the
Custodian of Enemy Property,
and I
am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the
Governor's Instructions.
2.
The object of this Ordinance is to make compulsory in this
Colony returns of the descriptions referred to in His Majesty's
Proclamations of the 7th September, 1916, and the 27th November,
1917.
3.
