I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter
of the 21st. ultimo (No. 570).

I am now directed by my clients, the owners of
the above lot to confirm hereunder the conditions therein contain-
-ed, for the Government taking over the new street to be laid out
by my clients, in connection with the development of the above lot, as shown and coloured red on the accompanying plan, between the Praya East and Queen's Road East, of a width throughout of 30' 0"
from one end to the other.

The conditions as referred to are:-
A sum of Twelve thousand Dollars ($12,000.00) to be paid by Government to my Clients as compensation for such area, no taken over by Government in forming the New Street.
b.
Crow Rent to be reduced in proportion to the reduction
in area of the lot.
C. The existing lease of Marine lot No. 25 to be surrender-
-ed, and a new lease for each portion of the lot so subdivided by
the new Street to be issued by Goverment free of charge, when the
new buildings have been erected.
The new lenses to be in conférmity with the terms con-
-tained in the existing lease to be surrendered.
d.
The area to be resumed by Government for the formation
of the Street, to be formed to such levels by my clients as you
may direct, and except under balconies, to be surfaced channelled
drained &c. by Government at its om expense,
My clients however hopes that Goverment will not erect
• public latrine or urinal in this street.
