I beg to acknowledge the receipt of letter No.

34022/1918 of the 25th July, and I have discussed the

method of recording Hygrometric observations set out

in the enclosures, with Sir Napier Shaw, the Meteoro-

logical Adviser. The question is one requiring care-

ful consideration if agreement between different

Meteorological Services is to be reached, and I will

furnish a memorandum on the matter in due course.
