Many thanks for the copy of the telegram from
the Governor of Hong Kond.
Lady Northcliffe's appeal for pearls for a Red
Cross necklace is made with the approval of the Joint War
Committee, and the first donors of pearls were Her Majesty the Queen and Her Majesty Queen Alexandra. Her Royal
Highness Princess Victoria is President of the Appeal
Committee. The money realised by the sale of the necklace
comes to us.

Governor of Hong Kong will do anything he can to bring
the appeal to the notice of his people.
